Bloomington (Monroe County, Indiana) World, June 30, 1896, p. 4. John Bennan, the 13-year-old Bedford boy who fell under a moving freight train one day last week while attempted to board it and had his right arm amputated, died from the result of his injuries last evening at four o'clock. A costly lesson to Bloomington boys who are daily attempting the same fat. A young life shut out just as it was becoming brightest. Boys take warning and don't attempt any more of your foolhardy tricks.
