Thanks for the family search site - will give that a try. Cannot believe how much I've figured out in the last few days. Now to see if I can figure out if the Hardin and Quantrill families lived in the same area of Ohio. Elizabeth Harden always claimed she went to school with Quantil. We always assumed she as a student he as a teacher. But since she in 3 years older doubt that. So perhaps she met they were both students in a small rural school at the same time. If I can find both families in the same area of Ohio in the 1840 census that could be it. Nadine
