Thanks to all for the answers on whitecapping. My goodness, I had no idea that kind of stuff went on in southern Indiana. Hopefully the miscreants had to pay a steep price. They were self rightous, thought they were doing what was required to make Indiana a better place to live. Most bigots are sure their opinion is the only correct one. After all if a woman has a child out of wedlock and you don't punish her she might do it again. People like Carrie Nation applauded them breaking up a bar or taking a horse whip to a drunk. People can always find justification for their actions. I worked with a man who thought what was wrong with our country was the banning of corporal punishment in schools.
