A BRITISH BIRD A Carrier Pigeon from England Captured at English, Indiana English, Ind., May 12—Mrs. Belle Ballard, wife of Sheriff Ballard, and Mrs. Alice Ray captured a pigeon in the courthouse yesterday that has created much curiosity. On the nether side of the left wing the following inscription is stamped with rubber stencil and indelible ink. “P. O. H. B. R., London, England, W. March 15, 1897. Following this inscription was another line in script but so indistinct as to be illegible.
