Shakespeare, who died in New Albany, Saturday, asserted that he was a lineal descendant of the Bard of Avon, and his pretensions seemed to have some foundation. He was born at Henley-on-Harden 62 years ago and had a varied and not unromantic battle with the world. He was the eldest of a large family of children and lived with his father, Joseph Shakespeare near Stratford-on-Avon.
