ONLY THREE IN TRANSYLVANIA CLASS The Lexington Leader has the following in its Sunday issue regarding two prominent Paris men: "Hon Christopher Wayne Cook, a prominent attorney of Corydon, Indiana, visited Transylvania College on Thursday. Mr. Cook received the degree of Bachelor of Arts in June 1879, a member of a class consisting of three persons only, these being besides Mr. Cook, Patrick Ignatius McCarthy of Paris, Ky., now deceased, and Edward A. Tipton of Lexington, formerly of Paris. Mr. Cook had not visited his alma mater for ten years. He was greatly interested in the numerous changes that have been and are being made and in progress of the college. He is planning to attend the alumni dinner at the commencement next June."
