Taylor of Nashville, Indiana, while traveling on the Wabash Railway from St. Louis to Stanberry in October, 1889, contracted a cold through the negligence of the railroad company in not having the car properly heated. The cold culminated in an attack of rheumatism that has crippled him for life. For this he brought suit against the company for $10,000 damages. Judge Goodman in the circuit court sustained a demurrer to the evidence of the plaintiff. An appeal will be taken to the Supreme Court. -Cor. St. Louis Republic
