SHE THOUGHT HER HUSBAND HAD BEEN BURIED ALIVE AND WENT MAD English, Indiana, February 16-Misled by the idea that her husband had been buried alive, Martha Colgan, widow of Dr. Valentine Cogan, was pronounced insane today. Dr. Colgan was once a leading surgeon, and Mrs. Colgan is also a medical graduate, but she always had a love for weird literature suggestive of horrid death scenes. The body was exhumed to convince the widow of her error, but the sight crazed her entirely. Mrs. Colgan was wealth, intelligent and accomplished, was a great favorite, and her collapse is sincerely mourned.
