Cincinnati (OH) Daily Gazette, March 25, 1879, p. 7. [Special Dispatch to the Cincinnati Gazette] Jeffersonville, Indiana, March 24-Alexander Sample, a wealthy lumber merchant and real estate operator, has filed an application in the circuit court for divorce from his wife, Sarah, chagring her with adultery with O. A. Clark, city engineer, and cruelty and other unwifely acts. The wife denies the allegations, and the sit will be hotly contested and decidedly filthy. All the parties have occupied a high social position, Mrs. Sample being a prominent church member.
