DIGGING FOR BURIED TREASURE A tradition exists about English, Indiana, that the Wyandottes buried treasures of gold and silver which they stole from the early missionaries and other parties in that neighborhood, and occasionally the treasure hunters become a plague. One of these fevers is now "on." And as the country is underlaid with iron, the divining rods are leading the owners to dig until some of the fields look like newly planted graveyards. -Philadelphia Ledger.
