Seymour Daily Republican, January 5, 1898, p. 3. DR KYTE WINS The case of Dr. H. R. Kyte against the board of commissioners, which was tried at Salem this week, was won by the plaintiff who was given judgment for $35. The suit was over a claim of Dr. Kyte's against the Board of Commissioners for holding a postmortem examination of John Conway whose death was surrounded by some suspicious circumstances. His claim was for $50 and the commissioners offered him $25. This Dr. Kyte would not accept and brought suit with results as above stated. This means that the county will have to pay the costs which will amount to several times as much as the original claim.
