Davis, the estimable wife of Henry Davis, four miles northwest of Corydon, died of typhoid fever, aged about 41 years, leaving a husband and four children. She was a sister of Dr. Bottorff of this place, was a devoted companion and mother and possessed an entire community of friends and relatives to mourn her early departure. The funeral will take place today and the remains will be laid to rest in the Davis burying ground near the home of the deceased.
