Brownstown (IN) Jackson County Democrat, April 18, 1854, page 2 Notice Is hereby given, that on the 17th day of March, 1854 a writ of attachment was issued by me, R. S. Sutherland, a justice of the county of Jackson, at the instance of James R. Thompson, against the goods and chattels, rights, credits, moneys, and effects of William Clelan, by virtue of which writ the following goods and chattels, to-wit: eight shovels, $8 15 cash and one stove have been attached as the property of said William Clelan, that on the 22d of April, 1854, at 10 o'clock, A.M., at my office in Rockford in said county, I will proceed to hear and decide upon the claim of said Thompson.
