John Hughes, charged with an attempt to blow up the residence of William Childers, near Oolitic, with dynamite, pleaded guilty to the charge in circuit sentence of from two to fourteen years in the Michigan City prison. Hughes made his home with the Childers family, to which he is related. After a quarrel Hughes fired explosives near the house, breaking out a number of the windows. Constance T.
