This is the first time we have heard of the Captain's face being turned towards Washington City. Tanner, formerly of this place who is now State Librarian, is gaining much credit for the good taste and energy he is exercising in the improvement of the Capitol Square, and for the order in which he has arranged the library. Wow, what a shame. From the response the board member gave it sounds as if its too much bother! Maybe the member needs to be in another line of work! I hope this idea of charging doesn't spread. Many times the only clue is a stone in a cemetery and Find a Grave has been doing excellant work. The Seymour Library does lookups of grave locations through 2003 at no charge but has been unable to obtain copies of records since that time. The board member was unaware that the library had copies of the records. Hours at the library are 8:30am-8:30pm Mondays-Thursdays, 8:30-6 Fridays, 9-5 Saturdays and 1-5 Sundays.
