The Microfilm Department of the Illinois State Historical Library in Springfield has all of the newspapers of Illinois on microfilm dating back to the newspaper's existence. You can call the library at (217)524-6358 and ask for the Microfilm department. They are very helpful in identifying the names of the various historical newspapers.
