The Woodford County Atlas for 1873 shows the Illinois Central Railroad running north South through Panola. It also shows the TP&W (Toledo, Peoria & Western) Railroad East West through Eureka and El Paso. North of Panola there was also the Chicago Pekin and Southwestern Railroad through Eureka and Roanoke that later became the Sante Fe Railroad. Hope this helps a bit... What more do you have on your John Miller? My GGRandfather John Miller married Elizabeth Martin 18 Mar 1860 and died 5 Nov 1865. He was 'from Germany' and probably a farmer but I do not know. I've not found him on the Census or any records other than his marriage license so far. Who were his parents and siblings? He reputedly had relatives in Congerville and Gridley area but who? Do I have any cousins from that line? Any help greatly appreciated. John E Fischer Cincinnati OH
