For those of you who might not have already heard about it, there is a new database in the Illinois State Archives page - an index for Illinois Death Certificates that covers the years 1916-1951. As with any database, people will be missing, but I think many of us will be able to benefit from it. The database can be found at http://www2.sos.state.il.us/departments/archives/databases.html .
