Good Sunny Sunday morning from Florida!! I too am looking for look-ups in Woodford Co., Illinois for 1860, possibly 1850. My two families there are: Jacob Roth, wife Mary and Louis and Anna. On 1880 census they are in Clayton Twnship(SD 4., ED 223, family#158.). Jacob was in business as" Roth and Gommels, General Merchandise, Benson, Illinois". The other family in same Twnship, family#163. They are Adam Eckhard, wife Anna and Jacob, Henry, Mary, Emma and Melia. Adam was born in Ohio so may not show up on 1860 census but perhaps 1870. ...tho' that still won't give us his parents unless one is living with them then. Living with the Jacob Roth family is Christian Roth, father, 56, born Prussia. Since Jacob is 25 in 1880 and born in Illinois, he might possibly be found with his parents on the 1860 Census. Worth a try if someone can do this. Thanks...all help always appreciated.
