o My fiance recently inherited two family photo albums. His ancestors (DAY, SCOTT, MARSTON) lived in Seward, Illinois. One album is from the 1860s and is of his ancestors' civil war pals. The second is full of friends from the late 1880s. I believe these pictures should be returned to family. One was the studio photo of a 16-year-old girl taken by C. M. WHEELER in Centralia, Illinois. She had written her name is girlish handwriting on the back, so I couldn't resist purchasing it. It says "Maggie BALDRIDGE age 16." She is in high fashion with 18 white buttons going up the front of her dark, long-sleeved dress, with her dark hair pinned up on top of her head.
