    3. Amy-- Go to Susan von Behren Ruth's von Behren website at http://www.vonbehren.org/ and click on "Family Lines", then select Jim Anderson's "Woodford County" line. I'm pretty sure Mrs. von Behren was Ernestine Louise Schlosser, wife of Frederick William von Behren. The von Behren family was from the same parish in Germany as my Steffen ancestors (Hartum, just west of Minden). My family originally settled in Washington County in south central Illinois, but my grandfather and great uncle migrated north to El Paso about 1910. I've wondered if the presence of families from the "old country" might help explain how they came to settle in Woodford County. The von Behrens are the only ones I've found so far, but our family doesn't seem to have maintained any close connections with them that I've been able to establish. FYI, I see in Jim's gedcom a Becky Robbins, born 1959, who married von Behren descendant Daniel Koch. Any relation?
