Thursday, Jan 12 1911 - The El Paso Journal Shiloh ------ -- Thomas Huxtable shelled corn Monday. -- A son was born to Mr and Mrs Harry Malcom, Sat Jan 7 -- Miss Pearl Bell came home Monday from a visit in Holder with relatives -- Miss Maggie Lyons returned home Monday, after a three weeks visit to Ottawa -- Will Lyons shelled corn Tuesday. Shafer and Stuckey did the work. They are hustlers. -- Two of Thomas Huxtable's brothers, of Dana, assisted himwith his shelling this week -- Little Tommy Seavers fell on the ice one day last week and cut quite a gash in his forhead. -- Mrs Rollin Harris and her sister, Mis Emma Seavers, are both bedfast with the gripe -- Henry Punke's children are sick with the measles. Harry Gerdes' children also have them -- Ed McDonald and sister, Miss Lizzie, are visiting in Mason City, Whittemore, and Des Moines, Ia -- Mr andMrs Robert Irwin and little daughter, Edna of Iowa are visiting relatives and friends here this week. -- The family of E.G.Morris, John Roth, and R.S. Boyd went to Eden, Ill., Friday to attend the funeral services of J.T. Morris -- Mrs Emma Gingerich went to Gridley Sunday to visit her daughter, Edna, and other relatiuves. She returned home Tuesday afternoon. -- Miss Anna Ioerger came home Saturday from McNabb, where she has been since before the holidays, visiting her brother, Jacob and wife. --Mr and Mrs Cleve Pinkham came home Tuesday from their visit in California. THey say everybody is well and happy out there and they they enjoyed their trip Kappa ------- --Chester Hall was in Hudson Saturday -- Mrs S. Paul is on the sick list this week. -- Fred Campbell was in Bloomington Friday -- Mrs Frank McClure was in El Paso Friday -- Miss Anna Shaffer was in Bloomington Saturday -- C.D. Witt is filling his ice house with twelve inch ice. -- Miss Eva Paul is spending a few days in Gridley this week. -- Mr and Mrs Calvin Robinson, of Iowa,are here visiting relatives -- Mr King, of Missouri, is here visiting his cousin, Mrs Charles Bowman.. -- Nelson Pearson returned home Wed from the southern part of the state -- Otis Shoemaker, of Fairbury, was here this week visiting his parents who are both ill -- Mrs Martin Hibbs, of El Paso, and her sister, Mrs Ennes, visited relatives and friends here last Saturday -- Mr and Mrs Charles Bagsby have returned home from East St. Louis where they had been visitng relatives --A few of Mrs Hansford's lady friend gave her a pleasant surprise the other day. All took well filled baskets. The event was Mrs Hansfords' 85th birthday -- The residence of J.C. Hall was entirely destoryed by fire Tuesday just before the noon hour Panola ------ -- Thomas Welte was a visitor here Sunday -- John Freidi visited here Sunday with his mother -- Mr and Mrs Frank Sharpe of near El Paso, visited here over last Sunday -- Miss Hallie Gassoway gave an entertainment here Saturday evening in the church -- Miss Rose Hauck, of Chicago, was here to attend the funeral of her mother last Monday -- Benjamin Bohlander shipped a car load of full blook horses to the Bloomington sale this week -- Leo Raymond has purchased the G.W. Schlink blacksmith shop which he intends to conduct in the future -- Mr and Mrs George Schlink and babe came here Sunday to attend the funeral of Mrs John Hauck which was held Monday Prairie College --------------- -- John Messer visited with Almon Drury near Shiloh last Sunday -- Miss Mildred Patton returned home last Tuesday from her visit -- W.A. Patton, a nice young mare weighing 1670 pounds for $275 -- Harvey Edwards and W.A. Patton were in Bloomington last Saturday trying to buy the Glimpse farm.
