    3. Eureka ------- -- Mr and Mrs A.M. Duncan were Peoria visitors last Tuesday -- B.M.Young, of Bloomington, was a business caller here Monday -- C.E. Payne put up some nice ten inch ice last week. -- Porter Jeck came home from his hom in Lawton, Okl, last week and visited his mother, Mrs Anna Jeck, here several days. His wife and family, who have visited here several months returned home with him -- Mr and Mrs Orman Ridgely went to Chicago Saturday, Mr Ridgely returning home Monday afternon. Mrs Ridgely remaining over for a visit with her parents, Mr and Mrs F. M. Hoyt, who are now residents there. -- Mrs Rosena Mathieu, a French lady from Roanoke, was brought into the county court last Monday and adjudged nsane by a jury. She was taken on Tuesday to the state hospital for the insane at Jacksonville by Sheriff and Mrs. Woltzen. -- John Ryan was brought down from Roanoke last Thusday night and odged in jail to await the action of the April grand jury on the charge of larceny. He is charged with stealing an overcoat, boots, coat, etc from one of the store sin Roanoke. -- E.K. Davidson, of OK., a former resident of this county and who was operated on at the Proctor hospital in Peoria recently for the removal of a cancer at the root of his tongue, visited here the latter part of last week with his brother, W.O. He is recovering very rapidly from the effects of theoperation, although it was a very severe one. --Mr and Mrs Adolph Woltzen expect to leave here next Monday for Missouri where they will make a visit with Mr Woltzen's brother before going on to the state of Washington, where they expect to resdie if they find a location which suits them.
