    1. [ILWOODFO-L] Darst
    2. My great grandfather was Harrison Darst, He was the son of John and Ruhama Darst.I am looking for information on my grandfather Frank Darst, who was born in Eureka in 1873. He was a veterinarian and practised in Ottawa Kansas from 1900 to 1920.I need to know when he moved to Kansas and if he went to Eureka colledge for his Vet degree. My mother is 97 years old now and she said that her grandfather Harrison Darst was buried in Eureka, ILL. and that his father John Darst was very dedicated to Eureka college. I do genealogy and I cant find out why John Darst and Ruhama Mohler being German would have their son Harrison Darst telling my mother that he was part Indian? My mother said that when she lived in Kansas as a girl, that she would go accross the dirt road to see grandpa Harrison who lived in a Tee Pee. I can find his brothers civil war records but it dosen't seem that Harrison was in the civil war. I saw a map of Eureka and there is a street named for him in front of the college. I saw a paper in our family files that said Harrison died of Enphesema and is burried in the Darst family plot in Eureka.I would like to have a copy of any of the information you might have on Harrison or his son Frank. Thank you Jerry Hale
