Michael H. Deaton 77 of Creal Springs passed away Sunday July 28, 2019 at 7:25 A.M. V.A. Medical Center in Marion. He was born on March 15, 1942 in Creal Springs to the late Herbert Logan & Frances Kathern (Laney) Deaton. Michael was married to Judith (Dorris) Deaton for 51 years and she preceded on November 18, 2018. He was a retired general manager for Benton Chrysler for over 30 years, coal miner for 9 years and also an avid horse man. Michael was a Army Veteran serving from November 1963 to November of 1965. He was also a member of the Marion American Legion and the Creal Springs VFW. Michael is survived by 4 children Lisa (Ron) Hull, Jeff Story, Mike (Ronnette) Deaton and Julie Sutton; 6 grandchildren & 4 great grandchildren; 1 brother Laney (Judy) Deaton; 2 sisters Ginger (Dale) Boyer and Jackie Jo (Harold) Crain. He was preceded in death by his parents, wife and a daughter Melissa Johns. Funeral services will be Wednesday July 31, 2019 at 1:00 P.M. at the Cosby-Sloan Funeral Home in Creal Springs with visitation Wednesday morning from 11:00 A.M. till funeral hour. Brett Beasley will officiate with burial in the Simmons Cemetery. Memorials may be made to the Simmons Cemetery Obituary from Sloan Funeral Home website.
