Hi, listers!! I am looking for any information, particularly an obituary or photo of the tombstone, for Mariah Brown. She was born in England in May 1850, her father born in England, her mother in PA. Her brother, Fred E. Brown, was born in England in 1852, and they came to IL in 1854. I do not know who their parents were, as they always lived with James Smith, their uncle. (He was born in PA, and I am assuming he was their mother's brother.) Fred married Arabelle Susan Jones, but Mariah never married. Her entire life she lived with James Smith, her uncle. They lived in Ramsey, Fayette Co., then moved to Williamson Co. in the early 1900's. I believe she was living with her niece, Hattie Brown Craig, when she died. Any and all information would be GREATLY appreciated!! The IL State Archives lists her death as Maria A.
