I am searching for information about the death and burial of John S. Hestand. He is listed (as Jno Hastin) in the 1860 Williamson County census at Blairsville P.O. (fam 930). I found a land purchse signed by both John S. and Sally, in 1865 in Williamson County. His wife, Sarah (Sally) Hestand is in the 1880 Denton County, Texas census living with a son, John H. Hestand. I am unable to locate John S. or Sally in the 1870 census of either Illinois or Texas. I suspect that John S. Hestand died in Williamson County after 1865 and his widow went to Texas to live with her son. Can anyone suggest a source for locating John S. Hestand? Are there any on-line sources for deaths 1865 - 1880? Are Blairsville Twp cemetery censuses available on-line? Or if someone has a copy of one of these sources, could you do a look-up for me?
