Cottage Home is still around and not under water -- I stopped there last summer on a genealogy research trip. It's in Grassy Township, about a mile north of Devil's Kitchen Lake at a Y junction. I don't know the road names, but it is marked on the Crab Orchard Lake 7.5 minute topo quad. The longitude and latitude are 37 39 25N / 89 06 03W. The only building in sight is a Baptist church on a gravel drive. I have read (can't remember where) that the church driveway was once the location of stores and other buildings.
