Just passing along info about another interesting conference coming up in the area-- --------------------------------------------------------------------------- Franklin County will hold its second Genealogy Conference and Workshop on July 9th, 2005 at the Gwyn Wynn Senior Citizen Center, 104 N. 10th Street, Benton, Illinois. It is open to all persons who are researching families from Franklin County, Illinois. Registration is from 8:30 to 9:00 am, followed by the morning program on Franklin County Land Records by Sheila Cadwalader. An afternoon speaker is also scheduled. Cost is $10.00 per person or couple. The Genealogy Room at the West Frankfort Library will be open late to accomodate any persons who wish to research there on Friday night, July 8th. The Frankfort Area Genealogy Society is open Wednesday and Thursday from 9-3. Other places in which to do research includes the genealogy room at the Public Library in Benton and Brehm Library in Mt.
