I second the "Illinois Trails" site that Sharon mentioned. After looking at Jackson Co. check out the Williamson Co. site...there are some transcribed bits and pieces of the Johnston City Progress from the 1940's that have some marriages and other items. Most counties have some raw data that you can actually do your own research . Check it out! http://www.iltrails.org/
