I have finally found my Great Grandmother Wilmoth Huddleston in the 1920 census of Energy. Thanks for the ONLINE version of that census !. She is listed as a 64 year old widower and is listed with a surname of McMannis. I have looked around for any McMannis names in the area and find none. We believe that this was her second married name but no one could recall the mans name or when. We know that she was buried by her first married name of Dunihoo in Herrin City Cemetery in 1937. Her first husband was John J Donahue (Donahoo). I would appreciate any suggestions to find or identify this McMannis, or help me find any Huddleston records. John Memphis
Wilmoth McMannis or McMann is living with her daughter Ora Age 28 and her son-in-law Charles Wagoner age 36 on the 1920 Census. They have 2 daughers, Pauline age 11 and Opal ? age 9 and a niece __?___Wagoner age 16. Wilmoth's name is very hard to read and ancestry.com reads it as Wilmuth McMann. On the 1930 census she is listed as Wilma Donihoo age 75 widowed and living with her daughter Ora and her husband Charles. On this census they have a daugher Virginia age 8. There was a Samuel McManus that died April 1920 in Williamson Co., Cambria Twp. This may have been her husband. Do you have a death certificate?? I was unable to find her on the IL. Death Index. She should be there if she died in 1937. Hope this helps some.
