    3. Dennis is right. :> But then I always say, Williamson Co is more cosmopolitan than most rural counties to begin with (or at least, the town of Herrin is)! (I am now ducking from all the virtual blows I will receive from the folks from Marion, C'ville (both of them), JCity, Crab Orchard, etc...) On that note, I am headed home to Herrin this weekend. It's my baby daughter's first trip home (although her 3-yr-old brother is well-trained already, and starts singing "By thy rivers gently flowing, Illinois Illinois" along with me as soon as we cross the bridge at St. Louis). I'm not sure how much time I'll have, but if there is some local document or photo someone really wants, etc, let me know and I'll see what I can do. Email me directly, not the list - Angela >===== Original Message From Yidman@aol.com ===== >Isnt it great living in the United States? > >It's a bit of a way from a loaf of Italian bread baked in Herrin, Illinois to >shopping in Austin,Texas and falling in love with a French batard! > >Cheers on researching the families in Williamson County, Illinois. > >Dennis Doughty >Houston, Texas > >p.s. formerly from the big town of Crab Orchard (not the Lake area) which is >in between Marion and Harrisburg > > >==== ILWILLIA Mailing List ==== >Visited the Williamson County Historical Society lately? >http://www.thewchs.com
