    3. Hi! Were there any newspapers published in the Stonefort area back into the 1850s and 60s? I'm interested in finding an obituary for John Carr. Died sometime between 1860 and 1870. He was born in South Carolina but lived most of his life in Jackson County, AL. He moved his family from Jackson County Alabama about 1853. In 1860 he was living with his daughter Nancy Spence and son in law John Abner Spence. In the 1860 census they were listed in Saline County, Stonefort PO, T10 R5E. Also would there be an obituary available for Nancy Spence who died April 8, 1913 in Stonefort and was buried in Joyner Cemetery? I have checked a listing of burials in Joyner Cemetery and can't find her or her husband. Thanks!
