Hi; Was there a newspaper in Williamson county in 1865? I think there was one in Marion but am not sure. If so did they have obits in 1865? My fourth great grandfather Thomas Howerton's widow Annis had her sons appointed as executors of her husbands estate in Dec 1865. This has led me to believe that Thomas died in the summer or fall of 1865. Thomas owned property near old Sulfer Springs in the Southeast corner of Williamson county it was also very close to what later became Creal Springs in 1882. Does anyone have access to this kind of information? I would appreciate any help. Thank You Mike Howerton
