If you are interested, I have posted some more old cards and pictures of Southern Illinois. Under Marion postcards are two new and rare photographs of (1) the Marion High School in 1907. This is the original brick school. I don't even know where it was located then, if anyone can help, please email me on this. (2) is a rare panoramic photograph of the Marion Square in 1910. I think it is taken from the east looking west, but I am not sure. Great picture, can anyone help identify the buildings of that era, I know that one of them was my grandfather's store Duncan-Baker Hardware, but I don't know which one it was. (3) Marion Elks 1927 Under Southern Illinois Pictures there is (1)a picture of the First Baptist Church in West Frankfort, (2) Benton Illinois Community Building, (3)Herrin Bank at the turn of the century (4)West Frankfort East Main Street (5) Herrin High School and (6)West Frankfort High School.
