Ann~ I do have a Laban Phillips (b 1848, Alabama) listed as the child of Catherine Rice (b 1822 Marshall, Alabama) & William Phillips (married 11 Jan 1841, Marshall City, AL)... My great, great grandmother is Rebecca (Rebekah) Phillips who married Isaac Marion Kelley, she is the sister of Laban Phillips.... Does any of that sound familiar?
