I'm still out here. Names I'm researching are Travelstead, Merrell, Springs One was married to a Henshaw too. I was born Lightner Hospital Harrisburg Saline County and began school in Harrisburg and Carrier Mills. My mother was Gertrude Travelstead daughter of my grandparents John Blaine Travelstead and Susi Merrill. My Great parents Lafayette Merrell and Sarah Springs Merrell Williamson County owned property next to Bethel Church Whipporwill road and are buied there along with my grandparents and many other Merrells and Travelsteads. My mother's aunt married a Jordan and they owned Jordan's store on old Jordan Curve Williamson County A bit of history about it is found at Williamson County Historical Society's webpage. We moved to Michigan in 1952 but I went back and spent summers with family members living in Saline and Williamson counties. My stepfather Lloyd Adams mother (my grandma Eckles) and her husband Frank Yezek bought the old Merrell/Travelstead property next door to Bethel from my mother when we moved and I spent a lot to time with them and at the church and the cemetery. I was always fascinated with reading the old tombstones and have now found so many of them were my family members. I also attended many of the Bethel Homecomings with dinner on the grounds as a child and would go and sit in the church and sing all by myself on weekdays. Nothing was ever locked back then. Many fond memories for me and many members were old school friends of my mother's. I still have family in Saline and Williamson and go back at least once a year and still visit the old cemetery when I do. And have even taken some of my grandchilder to see where there ancestors are. Love to hear from anyone. Email donnal@core.com Several years ago one of my nieces helped me transcribe all the names in the cemetery. Will help you if I can.
