Of course, now I'm the one bombarding the list with non-genealogy messages! :> But Dr. Dan in Texas pointed out to me that under Rootsweb's new system, hitting "reply" to a message off the list automatically sends the reply back out to the whole list. (Previously, I *THINK* that I had it set to "reply" just to the individual sender.) At any rate, I am trying right now to change things so that replies will automatically go just to the individual sender, but I have not made it work yet, and I'm not sure it's possible under the new system. SO FOR NOW: - When you want to "reply" to a message off the list, please make sure that you change the "To:" line on your reply to ONLY THAT INDIVIDUAL. Do not send a reply to "ILWILLIA-L@rootsweb.com" unless you want it to go out to everyone. - You can find the individual's email address at the top of the original message, in the "From:" line. If you have trouble, please email me directly at angela_place@post.harvard.edu - Also for now, it would make everything easier if each person could include their email address after their name, as they sign off on each post (see how I do it below).
