My Great Great Grandfather was John G. Sparks he married Rebecca Casey in 1834. Their son Francis Marion Sparks is credited with being the first male born in Marion in April 1840. Francis Marion Sparks married Frances Ann Aikman in 1863. Frank & Fanny's oldest son Edgar was my grandfather. His son Dowell was my Dad. My Dad moved to Michigan when he was about 12. I have been to Marion a few times and still have cousins living there. Sylvia
