My mother was raised until the age of 12 on a farm in Creal Springs. Her father was William Robert Launius (later calling himself DeLaunius) and Enola Hattie Williams. After her father's death she lived in Marion for 3 years until her mother's death. After that she lived there off and on for about 5 more years. My mother was born in 1919. Some of her mothers siblings married into the Culbreth, Goddard, Roberts, Lawrence and Isaac families. Her father was the son of John T. Launius of Franklin County and Mary E. Nance, originally of White County. John died shortly after my grandfather was born and Mary married Cave J. Jones and had two more sons, Arthur Lee and Clarence. The lived in Franklin My Grandmother (Enola) also had brothers, Clarence, Scott and Bruce Williams that mostly lived in Franklin County.
