Sharon, how much did they charge for a death cert? When I was at the court house I paid $5. That was the highest I had seen. Do you have a number for the WCHS? And whether it works any day except Thurs when they're open? Betty FL I'm here. I made a trip to Williamson Co. Historic Society and used their library. I also must say that the court house has the most reasonable price for copies of death certificates of anyplace I've been. I was picking up Deaton information for my aunt. My grandparents lived on So. Court St. next to Fox's Flowers. They owned Waters Market, also on So. Court. My mother had Freeda's Beauty Shop was above it. This was from abut 1923-1951. Mom's beauty shop wasn't open till about 1928. The store burned later..........not sure of the date. My grandmother, Daisy Waters, moved to Pope Co. around 1951-52. Traveling salesmen mostly stayed at what they called a tourist home. Other relatives there were Henry and Texi Waters, Dorothy and Linda Spencer. You didn't ask all this, did you. You just asked if someone was there. Sharon
