Mike, A lot of the Westbrook brothers seemed to have worked at the salines at one point. Samuel Westbrook, the preacher, spent much of his early adult career at the salines. His younger brother Lewis showed up in the Crenshaw neighborhood in the 1850 Census living north of the Old Slave House and listed as a laborer. Lewis was part of the extended Crenshaw clan. His wife was a niece to John Hart Crenshaw, and daughter of Caleb and Nancy (Crenshaw) Baldwin. I'm also descended from James Westbrook through his son William J. Westbrook (1813-1859). William also has another connection to the extended Crenshaw family. His wife Mary Taylor was a niece of John Hart Crenshaw's wife Sina Taylor. Mary's father William H. Taylor was Sina's brother.
