Elizabeth Peterson m. Cornelius Coplan on Sept 11, 1856 in Williamson County, Illinois. I believe Elizabeth is the daughter of Vincent and Mary Peterson, all born in North Carolina. Elizabeth was born approx. 1830. I located Elizabeth and Cornelius in various census for Williamson County, Illinois, under the surname of COPELAND, not Coplan. They had sons Cornelius, and Robert Copeland. Elizabeth also married John Alsbrook 26 October 1873 and I located them in the 1880 census for Williamson County, Illinois' with son Cornelius and adopted daughter Nancy Sansom.
