Thanks to Charla Schroeder Murphy I seem to have at last made a connection beween John Parks and Williamson County Goodman family. I recently found marriage record of Minervi Goodman and Wilson Parks in Maury County, TN. Several Goodman families also in Maury along with he Donalson, Donnelson, Donaldson who hook up somewhere in this connection. In searching for these families I have also noticed several other Creal Springs family names in Maury and adjoining counties -- Giles and Williamson. Charla sent me a transcript of 1856 slander suit Couch vs. Goodman. The alleged incident took place on December 25, 1856. As Charla puts it "they were well acquainted enough to spend Christmas together". Somewhere between 1831 when John Parks was born to Manerva (and ?Wilson) and 1850 Manerva married John Crouch/Croutch/Conch/Couch/Croutch and they reside with John in Jackson Co. She purchased 4 parcels of land in Creal Springs area of Williamson Co. in 1854. Yancey & Nancy Goodman and William E Goodman and family are also in same area. I have accumulated much information on the children of John and Mary Jane Rust Parks and there are boat loads of info on the Rust side, but limited on the Parks side.
