    2. I am still looking for my great gramdmother, Rutha Louisa Moore , born in1854 from Johnston City, she married Isacc Ross Belcher 25 July 1872. They had four children, Sarah 1873-?, Arley 1875-1923, Winnie1889-1944 (my grandmother) and Harry. I believe I found her in State Hospital in the 1900 and the 1910 fed census. My grandmothers death certicate calls her Louiza Moore, Johnston City. Ross Belcher remarried in 1920. I know someone somewhere has to be related................Thanks to all the Williamson family, Phil Draper

    1. Re: [ILWILLIA] ? on subscribing
    2. Follow the directions at http://lists.rootsweb.com/index/usa/IL/williamson.html. Simply send an e-mail to the request link with a subject and message as "subscribe". Do not add a signature or anything else. You should get instructions back indicating you have been subscribed and how to unsubscribe. Keep the e-mail for future reference. If you lose it, go to the list at rootsweb.com, select the Williamson Co list and follow the directions (as per the link above). Basically you do the opposite of the unsubscribe message below. Bill > I have a problem with getting or at least subscribing to all the sites. When I try to subscribe, it is wanting me to use Microsoft 2003 of which I do not have. How can I subscribe to the list? Also, I need to make sure my old e-mail is of the list. > Thank you > Old e-mail Dolluver01@aol.com > New e-mail Dolluver01@insightbb.com > > Thank you > Linda > > ------------------------------- > To unsubscribe from the list, please send an email to ILWILLIA-request@rootsweb.com with the word 'unsubscribe' without the quotes in the subject and the body of the message

    1. [ILWILLIA] Creal Springs--Parks, Goodman, Donaldson, Rust
    2. Thanks to Charla Schroeder Murphy I seem to have at last made a connection beween John Parks and Williamson County Goodman family. I recently found marriage record of Minervi Goodman and Wilson Parks in Maury County, TN. Several Goodman families also in Maury along with he Donalson, Donnelson, Donaldson who hook up somewhere in this connection. In searching for these families I have also noticed several other Creal Springs family names in Maury and adjoining counties -- Giles and Williamson. Charla sent me a transcript of 1856 slander suit Couch vs. Goodman. The alleged incident took place on December 25, 1856. As Charla puts it "they were well acquainted enough to spend Christmas together". Somewhere between 1831 when John Parks was born to Manerva (and ?Wilson) and 1850 Manerva married John Crouch/Croutch/Conch/Couch/Croutch and they reside with John in Jackson Co. She purchased 4 parcels of land in Creal Springs area of Williamson Co. in 1854. Yancey & Nancy Goodman and William E Goodman and family are also in same area. I have accumulated much information on the children of John and Mary Jane Rust Parks and there are boat loads of info on the Rust side, but limited on the Parks side. If anyone connects to this group let me know. 1. [ILWILLIA] more administrative stuff - PLEASE READ
    2. Place, Angela R
    3. Hello again. Of course, now I'm the one bombarding the list with non-genealogy messages! :> But Dr. Dan in Texas pointed out to me that under Rootsweb's new system, hitting "reply" to a message off the list automatically sends the reply back out to the whole list. (Previously, I *THINK* that I had it set to "reply" just to the individual sender.) At any rate, I am trying right now to change things so that replies will automatically go just to the individual sender, but I have not made it work yet, and I'm not sure it's possible under the new system. SO FOR NOW: - When you want to "reply" to a message off the list, please make sure that you change the "To:" line on your reply to ONLY THAT INDIVIDUAL. Do not send a reply to "ILWILLIA-L@rootsweb.com" unless you want it to go out to everyone. - You can find the individual's email address at the top of the original message, in the "From:" line. If you have trouble, please email me directly at angela_place@post.harvard.edu - Also for now, it would make everything easier if each person could include their email address after their name, as they sign off on each post (see how I do it below). Thank you so much, sorry for the hassle, and let me know about any other troubles! Angela angela_place@post.harvard.edu http://www.people.ku.edu/~place/williamson.html

    3. Nothing is wrong with the "system." In fact, this list is generally fairly quiet, and then we seem to go in bursts. The thing to remember is that people drop out of the list every time a lot of "not-related-to-county-genealogy" questions like this get posted, WHICH IS WHY I AM ASKING EVERYONE: In the future, if you are wondering if the list is not working, PLEASE EMAIL ME DIRECTLY, rather than all 300 people subscribed to the list. Thank you so much!
