    1. [ILWILLIA] Taveggia, Gasperoni
    2. John Ruggeri
    3. To the List: 9/18/2000 I am also searching for info on surname Taveggia. Dominic Taveggia was probably born in Cuggiono, Italy. Eventually ended up in St. Louis around 1911, but I suspect he first lived in a differnt area, perhaps Williamson County. He married Josephine Oldani, they had four children: Herman Taveggia Born: 9/29/1887 Died:3/16/1922 Henry Taveggia Born: 3/26/1894 Died: 1/17/1976 Serena Taveggia Rancilio ( info unknown ) Frank Taveggia Born: 1/27/1899 Died: 8/1/1973 Also Dominic S. Gasperoni, or his family?? Finally, I want to say a special thank you to the individual that sent my distant cousin, Candy Calcaterra of Herrin, Illinois, a copy of my recent e-mail to the Williamson county list. Candy told me she is not a member of the Williamson County list. Candy described this person as someone "living in the East". I don't know how far east she means, India, China, Japan or the East coast of the U.S., perhaps Boston!!!! Be that as it may, I was able to reconnect with her and I am very grateful. Thank You John Ruggeri _________________________________________________________________________ Get Your Private, Free E-mail from MSN Hotmail at http://www.hotmail.com. 2. Hi Ken, Let me know if you dont get any results on this. Can have a relative in that area check for me. My mother, brother, and a few more family members are buried at what is called the Blairsville Cemetery. But I dont know how old this cemetery is. As late as this year an aunt was buried there too. Since it's definitely off the beaten path it could possibly be that old. 1. [ILWILLIA] More Postcards & Pictures of Southern Illinois
    2. Jerry L Mullins
    3. If you are interested, I have posted some more old cards and pictures of Southern Illinois. Under Marion postcards are two new and rare photographs of (1) the Marion High School in 1907. This is the original brick school. I don't even know where it was located then, if anyone can help, please email me on this. (2) is a rare panoramic photograph of the Marion Square in 1910. I think it is taken from the east looking west, but I am not sure. Great picture, can anyone help identify the buildings of that era, I know that one of them was my grandfather's store Duncan-Baker Hardware, but I don't know which one it was. (3) Marion Elks 1927 Under Southern Illinois Pictures there is (1)a picture of the First Baptist Church in West Frankfort, (2) Benton Illinois Community Building, (3)Herrin Bank at the turn of the century (4)West Frankfort East Main Street (5) Herrin High School and (6)West Frankfort High School.
