One more thing........does anyone know where I can order by mail or purchase a 1850 Williamson Co. Census book? Lee Ann
Hi All, If anyone has the 1840 or 1850 Williamson Co. census available I need a lookup. I need the information on Hirum McDaniel/McDannel/McDonald. Hirum was born abt 1810 in TN. Also, could somebody enlighten me as to why so many people came from TN to Williamson Co. in the early 1800s. I have just begun to look for my McDaniel line, and there seems to be a lot people from TN in the census. I noticed the same thing in Johnson Co. IL. If anyone is working on the McDaniel name in Williamson Co. let me know. I'd like to hear from you. Lee Ann Researching: DEATON, MOHLER, HESTER, RIDENHOWER and now MCDANIEL
I sent a message for Williamson county to our website for that county a few minutes early, through an oversight. I then discovered I didn't have it quite done. I have just entered the surnames for that county. If you looked in the past 15 minutes you may want to check again. We conduct a Library of church records, minutes, periodicals (with obituaries), etc., in Carthage, Hancock County, Illinois, called the Primitive Baptist Library. Gradually, over the past two or three weeks, we have been uploading information from our files regarding our churches which have existed in about eighty counties in Illinois. Included in this material are the surnames of the members, as far as they are available to us (many records have been lost). We have more detailed information in our collection and in our database, but this will serve as sort of an index. Today we have entered the information for Stark, Putnam, JoDaviess, Williamson, Stephenson, and Grundy counties. If nothing on these county pages helps, perhaps someone may be helped by some other county page, so I share the web address with you. Trying different counties trying to find any of these people or families.... I am looking for anyone who has the MEES name in their databases. I am looking for a WM (I believe his name should be William) MEES. I know in 1875 he had a daughter named Minnie in Pittsville, Ill. He also had a son named William who in 1979 lived in ST. Louis and a daughter named Myrtle married name, Huett, in 1979 they lived in Willaimsville. Mo. Wm had married a Minnie Rodewalt... If anyone might have any of these people I would sure love to hear from you. All I have to go on is when Minnie (the daughter) married my Grandfather she was 16 years old at the time. Her mother it appears remarried as a Laury by 1911 and Minnie's father was recorded as dead on her marriage Licence and consent to marry. (Feb of 1911) Help Please!!!!! Sherri
I would like to know if anyone has any information regarding Rex Evans. He was a barber in Johnston City at one time. He was married to Merly Evans. I believe her two sisters who were twins. His son, Amos Lee Evans, married Mary Ruth Gordon on Marion (ca. 1947). Amos and Mary divorced in the Late 40's/Early 50's. Mary, my grandmother, very rarely spoke of my grandfather, Amos. This is just about everything I know about my family history. I would like to thank anyone in advance for any information they may have. Please let me know if you have any information. Jason S. Evans

Is anyone researching Dixon Benton WARD besides me? I understand he was sometimes called Uncle Dick by the community because everyone knew him, since he was born in the late 1700s and died in the early 1900, living to over 100 years old. I am interested in his connection to other WARDs in the county in the 1800s, as well as the surnames, LEWIS and BENTON. Debbie Ward McArdle
