Thanks, Maggie Hi! My mother-in-law belonged to the Royal Neighbors of America in Iroquois County, IL in the 1940s. It was an organization that sold life insurance. Sort of like the male Modern Woodsmen organization I suppose. I believe that the ladies got together, had meetings pot-lucks, parties, etc. She purchased life insurance policies from them for her son when he ws young and each of my young children.
