Looking for more about OBERN, THIEL,BAILEY, BLISS, & BARLOW; all married into the following family of Barnes in Will County, circa 1870-80: Matthew and Mary Jane (Nancy) ____ BARNES left Haverstraw (Rockland County) NY, between 1858 and 1860. They lived in Will County until their deaths in 1986 and 1897 respectively. Children: Robert b. 1848 on Long Island, NY. Married to ??? Mary b. 1850 died before 1860. Jesse b. 1854 died before 1860 Annie E b. 1856. Married Bearnard OBERN Dec. 18, 1883 in Will County. Eugene b. 1858. Married Christina THIEL May 17, 1866 in Will County. Harriet P. b. 1860 in IL. Married Calnew BAILEY, Sept. 15, 1886 in Will Co. Isaac b. 1866 in IL. Married Sarah L. BUSS and later lived in Nancy Co, NE. William Purdy Barnes b. July 3, 1852. Married Mary Jane BARLOW Oct. 20, 1875 in Will County, IL. Would like to know who Mary Janes parents were. Not on marriage license. Ermina Barnes b. May 9, 1868. Married Franklin Giles Bump on Dec. 21, 1891. Later lived in Nance County, NE. Rachel b. March 31, 1862. Never married. Went to NE with Ermina and Frank Bump. Died Nov. 19, 1963 and is buried in Clarks Cem. Nebraska. Does anyone have a listing of burials in Brooks Cemetery at Homer in Will County.
