Hi Krista, Found a Robertson family in Joliet but the given name isn't the same.It's r. Robertson, born 16 may 1822 in Fifeshire,on the Firth on Forth,Scotland, a few miles of the city of edinborough,Scotland.Came to USA age 20.etc..Later in 1872 built the Robertson House(of which I have an 1873 lithoraph of..for sale)the largest hotel witnin a circuit of 40 miles.He married previously to coming to Joliet,Miss Margaret Duncan, of alloway,Scotland and has 6 children living.(this info from 1878 history of will cty) I will check and see if I can find your Alexander Gordon Robertson wife Eliz. grant or their son George.
